What are C&J's Ticketing Policies?

Reservations are required for all C&J service.  All C&J tickets are non-transferable and must be used on the selected date and time of travel. The ticket policy is defined by the ticket origin/destination and ticket type.

NYC Tickets

 
Ticket Use:  

  • Tickets must be used for the selected date and time of travel. 
  • Tickets are non-transferable and can only be used by the person named on the ticket.
  • If you do not use your ticket at the reserved time, it becomes void and non-refundable.  

Rescheduling:  

  • All rescheduling requests must be made before your scheduled departure time. 
  • You may reschedule free of charge online by managing your reservation at www.ridecj.com. 

Refunds:  

  • Refunds are available prior to departure and are subject to a $5 fee per passenger. 
  • To request a refund, contact the C&J Information Center at (603) 430-1100.


Boston South Station & Logan Airport Tickets  

 
Ticket Use:  

  • Tickets must be used for the selected date and time of travel. 
  • Tickets are non-transferable and can only be used by the person named on the ticket.
  • C&J offers a 24-hour grace period* after your scheduled departure to rebook or ride on a later coach.  

*We at C&J understand the need for flexible travel, so we offer a 24-hour grace period after your trip’s departure to still use or rebook your ticket!

Reschedule:  

  • Manage your reservation online for free.  
  • Prior to scheduled departure, you may:  
    • Reschedule your trip for free for any future trip with seats available  
  • After departure, you may:   
    • Reschedule your trip for free for any schedule running within the next 24-hours with seats available  
    • Use your current ticket to ride on a later coach within that 24-hour window as standby traveler.  
  • Tickets become void after the 24-hour grace period or once used.  

 
Standby Travel:  

Standby does not guarantee a seat—rescheduling is always recommended.

  • If you miss your trip and don’t reschedule, you may ride standby on any C&J coach to your destination within the next calendar day. 
  • Standby travel allows you to wait for an available seat on a C&J bus.
  • Standby does not guarantee a seat—rescheduling is always recommended.

Refunds:  

  • South Station Tickets are non-refundable, but may be canceled prior to departure for C&J credit.
  • Logan Airport Tickets are refundable prior to departure and are subject to a $5 per-passenger fee.

Specialty Tickets  

Logan Airport Employee Tickets  

  • Tickets must be used for the selected date and time of travel. 
  • Non-transferable, non-refundable, and non-cancellable. 
  • Buyers must present a valid airline ID at the time of purchase.
  • May be rescheduled within the standard 24-hour grace period.  

10-Ride South Station Passes  

  • Tickets must be used for the selected date and time of travel. 
  • Non-transferable and non-refundable. 
  • Valid for 60 days from purchase. 
  • Includes 10 one-way rides to the destination listed. 
  • Rebooking available prior to departure via the Commuter tab in your C&J account.  

10-Ride Logan Airport Passes  

  • Tickets must be used for the selected date and time of travel. 
  • Non-transferable and non-refundable. 
  • Valid for 30 days from purchase. 
  • Includes 10 one-way rides to the destination listed. 
  • Rebooking available prior to departure via the Commuter tab in your C&J account.  

6-Ride Logan Airport Passes  

  • Tickets must be used for the selected date and time of travel. 
  • Non-transferable and non-refundable. 
  • Valid for 60 days from purchase. 
  • Includes 6 one-way rides to the destination listed. 
  • Rebooking available prior to departure via the Commuter tab in your C&J account.
